The Village contracts with the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department for policing services.  The Village contracts to have an officer on duty within the Village limits for 16 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The County will provide coverage on the other shift as they have always done.  The Village is a designated sub-station for the Sheriff's Department, ensuring a presence of officers available for calls at all hours of the day.
