Residential garbage pick-up service is every Friday (when a holiday falls in the week, pickup will be a day later).
Bulky Waste pick-up is every first Friday of each month.(Allowed one item per month; i.e. Couch, Chair, Table, etc). Additional items will not be collected. Arrangements may be made with Allied Waste for pick-up at an additional cost.
Contact the Village Hall (309) 523-3705 if additional information or trash bins are required. In the near future only refuse in the supplied containers will be collected.
Pickup is $6.00/household. Billing will be done monthly if you are a user of water and/or sewer, or every 6 months ($36.00) if you have garbage service only.

Recyclables include glass, aluminum and tin cans, #1 & #2 plastics, newspaper, magazines and corrugated cardboard.

Call Doug for free appliance removal. We will also remove anything metal (bicycles, engines, cars, car parts, batteries, lawn equipment, etc.). We will also take computers now and in the near future we will take televisions and clothing. In County areas, curbside recycling is available for most items. Drop off available in Rapids City at 1626 2nd Avenue (two doors north of the bank). Please call for questions or more information.
